The State Baseball Tournament
The State Baseball Tournament is currently underway in Brenham at Fireman’s Park. The first game started today, July 28th at 8:30am with State Commander Ken Mueller throwing out the first pitch.
Game 1 results – League City (18) vs. Texarkana (9), 9 innings of play.
Game 2 results - Pecos (12) vs. Madison (2) ended at the end of the 8th inning due to 10 run rule.
Game 3 results - Texarkana (16) vs. Madison (6) ended at the end of the 7th inning due to 10 run rule.
Game 4 results - Texarkana (23) vs. Pecos (1) ended at the end of the 7th inning due to the 10 run rule.
Game 5 results - Texarkana (11) vs. Pecos (6) 9 innings of play.
The State Championship game will be between League City and Texarkana at 10am today, Friday, July 30th.
NOTICE!
Effective January 1 2010 all registration for American Legion Baseball will be done on line at www.legion.org/baseball
This change is mandated by American Legion National. Coaches/Managers will go to this web site and register their team. You will also pay all fees through this web site. Fees now include a National fee of $50.00 for senior teams, $25.00 for junior teams, the state registration fee of $100.00, and the required insurance fee. All fees will be paid at time of registration. Once you have completed the on line registration, your registration will be sent to American Legion National, it will be forwarded to the Baseball Chairman for the Department of Texas, who will approve or deny your play. Once approved only then will your fees be processed and your teams name appear on the roster for play.

The deadline for registration remains the same.
