As everyone knows training is the lifeblood of any organization. There are study courses for The American Legion as well as specialized training. It is recommended that every District and Division have some training at every Convention. The Department Adjutant and The Director of Internal Affairs can conduct Training on Legion procedures, programs, or whatever is needed. If you would like The Department Adjutant or The Director of Internal Affairs to conduct a Training Session at your Fall or Spring Convention send a written request to Department Headquarters, remember the earlier you request the better chance you will have of being able to schedule training.

Also every year there is an Incoming Commanders School held in Austin for all the new incoming District and Division Commanders. Anyone can attend, it is a good chance to learn, but only the incoming commanders will receive school materials. Click the link on the left for more information.
